About Us

The Christmas Gift  

Welcome to My Roll Life Apparel. In December of 2022, I created this store as a Christmas gift for my thirteen-year-old son, DJ. As parents, we all know the routine of finding the right Christmas gift. The time and expense that goes into finding items they outgrow and forget with time. I wanted to give my son something that would be an asset and grow with him over time, something he could implement three principles learned in Jiu Jitsu Determination * Dedication * Discipline. Christmas comes and goes, although this store will remain with your support.

The Team 

The team behind My Roll Life Apparel is Robin (Mother and admin), DJ (Son/Co-Owner), and Larry (Husband/Father/Co-owner.) We all share in the responsibilities of the daily operations of the store. From processing orders, social media posts, and day-to-day customer interactions. DJ is the face and heart of the store; he is the person drilling a takedown before a tournament on our home page.

DJ and Jiu Jitsu

DJ started his Jiu Jitsu path in 2015 when he was six years old at Infinity Jiu Jitsu located in Santee, California, training under Professor Dylan Dearborn and his coaching staff. DJ fell in love with the sport quickly. After attending a Dream Jiu Jitsu tournament in support of his teammates and friends, he insisted he wanted to compete. He has been competing ever since. In 2017 my job relocated us to Murrieta, California. Professor Dylan recommended DJ train under Professor Tom Cronin at Carlson Gracie in Murrieta. The school was a mile from where we found a home. Under Professor Tom and his coaching staff, DJ has continued to grow his skill and abilities to be a fierce competitor. Finishing 2022, DJ took second place at the JJWL finals in San Diego, California; he is ranked in JJWL First place for Yellow belt junior teen males in his weight division and ranked fourth overall as a Yellow belt junior teen male.
